About Our Chapter

Largest MOAA Chapter in the State of Arkansas!

The highly recognized NWA MOAA Chapter provides a path for all commissioned officers to come together and join with others who share a common love for our great nation. We welcome all those currently serving, formerly served, and retired commissioned or warrant officers of all the uniformed services to become part of our Chapter. The NWA MOAA Chapter is extremely action active in a variety of ways, including:

• CAMARADERIE - Provide an opportunity to socialize and enjoy fellowship with other officers.

• UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS ROTC PROGRAMS - Enjoy a strong relationship with the University of Arkansas Army and Air Force ROTC Programs; we support commissioning and award ceremonies as well as participate in panel discussions during classes.

• MENTORSHIP - Deliver a nationally recognized mentorship program for Junior and Senior ROTC cadets to enhance their development as our future leaders.

• HIGH SCHOOL SUPPORT - Support Bentonville High School's Navy JROTC Program through Chapter members speaking to the young cadets about their military experiences.

• SCHOLARSHIPS - Sponsor a Veterans Scholarship Program that provides financial aid to Veterans and other qualifying students attending the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville to help offset their educational expenses.

• FLAG EDUCATION - Educate 4th and 5th graders in local elementary schools about proper etiquette and respect for the American Flag.

• FUNDRAISING - Conduct an annual fund-raiser to help support the expansion of the Fayetteville National Cemetery.

• BOYS AND GIRLS STATE - Support to the American Legion's Boys and Girls State programs by sponsoring two high school seniors.

• INFORMATION SHARING - Coordinate with the NWA Veteran's Coalition to share information and ideas with other Veterans groups and Veteran Service Organizations in the local area.

• ADVOCACY - Actively support the MOAA National legislative priorities in order to enhance the quality of life for all who are serving or have served in the uniformed services.

Our annual dues are a modest $25 per year, of which $10 goes directly to the Veterans Scholarship Fund.
